Privacy

Short version: we store your email address so we can send you the alerts you asked for. That is the only personal data we hold, and you can have it deleted in one click.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you register for alerts. Required — it is the only way to send you an email.
• Your watchlist and alert settings: which SKUs, services, families or saved filters you track, your threshold, your direction preference and your digest frequency.
• Delivery records: when we sent you a digest, how many changes it contained, and whether it succeeded. This exists so “did my alert fire?” is answerable.
• Sign-in tokens, stored only as a one-way hash, single-use, and valid for fifteen minutes.

What we do not collect

• Passwords. None exist. We use email sign-in links, so there is no credential to store, reset or leak.
• Payment details. Paid tiers are not live. If they launch, card handling will be done by a payment processor and we still will not see them.
• Advertising or cross-site tracking. No third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting, no cookie banner — because there is nothing to consent to.
• Your cloud billing data. The prices on this site come from each vendor's public pricing APIs. We never need access to your account.

Cookies

One: a signed session cookie set when you sign in, so the site knows it is you. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, expires after 30 days, and is removed when you sign out. Your theme preference is stored in localStorage, which never leaves your browser.

Who else sees it

Our email provider, in order to deliver the message — they receive your address and the message content, and nothing else. Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) processes requests on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone else, and there is no scenario in which we would.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Unsubscribing stops all mail immediately and retains your watchlist in case you return. Ask for deletion and everything — address, watchlist, delivery history — is removed within 30 days.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, export, and objection to processing. Email admin@costticker.com and we will action it within 30 days. No form, no account verification hoop beyond confirming you control the address.

You can unsubscribe at any time without signing in, from the link in any email, or with one click in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail — we ship the standard one-click header.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we will email registered subscribers before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
